Campaigns

The Refugee Council is campaigning for an end to the unjust and unfair treatment of refugees. We aim to challenge government policy, the media and hostile public attitudes to make the UK a safe and welcoming place for people who have fled war, oppression, torture and persecution.

We are especially concerned about the welfare of people seeking asylum in the UK, and in particular, poverty and destitution. We believe all those who ask for asylum in the UK should be treated decently while they are here.
