Refugee delegates at party conferences

We’ve been busy these last few months organising fringe events at the three main political Party Conferences. Thanks to funding from the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, we were absolutely delighted to be able to take two refugee delegates to each conference so that they could talk to MPs about their experiences of the asylum system. Hear what Ali, Abdul, David and Karyne thought of it all.

Our fringe events were a big success. All the venues were packed with standing room only, as party activists took the opportunity to put questions on asylum policy to key MPs including Damian Green, the Immigration Minister and Phil Woolas, the Shadow Immigration Minister.
