‘Working together’ – an event for London refugee community organisations (RCOs)
Held on 21 May 2008, this event gave refugee community organisations the chance to hear about the influencing work that the Refugee Council is doing around integration and improvement of the asylum system, and - most importantly - provided an opportunity for participants to think about how to continue this work together. There was an information ‘market stall’ area where participants could network with other RCOs, and talk directly to Refugee Council staff to find out more about the different projects they are running and other work taking place across the voluntary sector. There was also a choice of interactive workshops on the themes of influencing government policy on integration and improving the asylum system. |
