Making the transition

This conference is about supporting the transition into learning and adulthood for young adults leaving care. The emphasis on the day is about transition into adulthood, training and further education and will focus on what might be referred to as the step before higher education, when young people are dealing with the practicalities of their lives, including seeking further education and training.

•Learn about how to support young adults leaving care in continuing to engage with education and to have high aspirations
•Learn from other professionals about the most successful ways of encouraging and supporting this group of vulnerable young adults.

This conference is aimed at those who work with young adults in and leaving care including:
• Local Authority Youth Services
• Children’s Trusts
• Further Education teachers and managers
• Voluntary Youth Services
• Leaving Care Teams.

Arrival and registration is at 9:45am for a 10:25am start. The event will end at 4:00pm
