ESOL down on the Farm!
This is an exciting opportunity for asylum seekers to join this fun programme.
Hackney City Farm and Refugee Council are working together to offer an interesting and varied programme to those who want to learn English and spend time getting involved in practical activities and training down at one of London’s most well known city farms. Available to asylum seekers over 16 years old.
You will study English (Entry 2 ESOL) 2 days per week and get involved in the community farm’s activities for 2 days per week. You will also learn a variety of activities including planting flowers and vegetables, making and glazing pots, straw bail building, harvesting, wool spinning etc, providing general support to the centre and working with others.
ESOL in Southwark
We provide free English language courses for residents of Southwark borough who are over 16 years old and are economically inactive. Classes are delivered 3 days a week for 4 hours a day.
The course will help learners improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English and prepare them for the Trinity Skills for Life ESOL examinations.
Childcare (limited places) and travel expenses are paid for both courses.
