British Agencies Afghanistan Group
The British Agencies Afghanistan Group (BAAG) project was set up by British NGO's in 1987 as an umbrella group to draw public attention to the humanitarian needs of the population of Afghanistan and of Afghan refugees in Iran and Pakistan. BAAG membership comprises the UK and Irish aid agencies operating, or supporting projects, in Afghanistan. The Refugee Council is houses and supports its staff in our London Offices. BAAG provides regular information on the political, economic and security situation in Afghanistan and is an effective network for international NGOs operating in Afghanistan.
