Reducing youth crime in Hillingdon
We are planning to run a conference for Somaliland youth and parents on 22nd November 2011 from 10am-2pm at 88 East Avenue, Hayes, Middlesex, UB3 2UU looking at how we can stop troubled Somali teenagers and young adults in Hillingdon getting involved in crime.
We are also showing a documentary film about the Somali culture of the experience of war to enable people to understand what our young people have been through.

Khat in the Somali community
It will be held on the 22 November 2011 at the Kings gate Community Centre from 1.30PM
Over the last 6 month the Camden Somali Cultural Centre in support with the Refugee Council has been working on a campaign called Khat Awareness Project.
The aim of this campaign is to raise awareness and highlight the effects that using the drug Khat has on the family and to get the drug banned in the future.
