iRefugee is an online space bringing together refugees' stories in their own words. From innovative online exhibitions, blogs and podcasts to books and plays, we aim to highlight the creativity bursting out of the internet from many of those who have fled persecution and landed on our shores.
Key to iRefugee is the use of new media and online to tell these stories. The internet provides a new forum for anyone to tell their story, meet other people and connect with their experiences. iRefugee is our way of highlighting some of the stories that are out there (including stories we have helped people to tell).
Online photography exhibition See a fabulous online photography exhibition, which is also on you tube. The photos are accompanied by voiceovers of the artists themselves. The films are a result of a project the Refugee Council hosted.
Blogs, stories and podcasts My story, literally! Online diaries and audio interviews from refugees who have settled in the UK talking about their experiences or whatever else comes to mind!
Refugee stories Although not available online, these stories are available to buy online! Novels, anthologies, children's books by refugees themselves.
