Ernst Sondheimer: His story
Professor Ernst Sondheimer came to England as a Jewish-German refugee shortly before the beginning of World War II. Fleeing the persecution of Jews by the Nazi regime, Prof Sondheimer and his extended family settled in London. Below is a touching, personal account of his experience as a refugee.

Unlimited theatre -Trodden
In 2007 some of the volunteers from the Refugee Council office in Leeds shared their experience of settling in Leeds with the innovative group Unlimited Theatre. Nine months later “Trodden” was born, a new audio guide to Leeds as experienced by people arriving there after fleeing persecution. you can download the interviews here (you need to scroll down past the blank space!):
