Iraq elections: voting programme for Iraqis living abroad

Elections to the Transitional National Assembly in Iraq are due to be held on 28 to 30 January 2005. On behalf of the Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq, the International Organisation for Migration's (IOM) Out-of-Country Voting Programme (OCV) is implementing registration and voting processes for those wishing to vote who are living abroad, including in the UK. Registration was initially scheduled between 17 and 23 January 2005 from 08:00-17:00. The Netherldands has extended registration through 24 January, while all other countries have extended the registration period through 25 January. Registration hours have also been extended until 19:00 in all countries by the Netherlands, where they continue to close at 1700.
