Counter terror clauses

The briefing focuses on new measures designed to fight terrorism that would have negative implications for many of those seeking asylum in the UK. This briefing is a joint response on behalf of the Refugee Council, the Scottish Refugee Council, the Welsh Refugee Council, Refugee Action and Amnesty International to the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Bill prior to its Committee Stage in the House of Lords (09 January 06).

This briefing is an updated version of previous parlimentary briefings on the same subject issued in November and December 2005.
