Case resolution and unaccompanied children
Refugee Children's Consortium's briefing on case resolution on asylum applications made by unaccompanied children and young people seeking asylum [December 2007]
This information briefing is aimed at those working with unaccompanied children or young people who applied for asylum as unaccompanied children. he Refugee Council is a member of the Refugee Children's Consortium. Its purpose is to explain how the Case Resolution Directorate’s work on clearing the backlog of asylum claims by July 2011 (an exercise previously known as legacy) applies to these children and young people. It gives advice relating specifically to legal advice and looks at the action that advisers may need to take to ensure that the young people are able to fully engage with the Case Resolution exercise. Published in December 2007.
