More Destitution in Leeds: Repeat survey of destitute asylum seekers and refugees approaching local agencies for support [Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, July 2008]

The Joseph Roundtree Charitable report "More Destitution in Leeds" contains findings of a repeated survey into destitution amongst refused asylum seekers in Leeds.

The report builds on the Trust’s 2007 Destitution Inquiry reports Moving on: from destitution to contribution and Destitution in Leeds. The Trust commissioned a repeat survey to see how things have changed. Their finding is that the situation has deteriorated, and the number of refused asylum seekers living destitute in Leeds has more than doubled over the last 18 months. The number of children affected has quadrupled and rough sleepers have increased by a third.
