Seeking asylum alone

Unaccompanied and separated children and refugee protection in the UK [Jacqueline Bhabha and Nadine Finch/Harvard Committee on Human Rights, November 2006]

This report forms part of a larger study onto the treatment of separated and trafficked children in need of refugee protection which looks at the situation in the U.S., Australia and the UK. A comparative report is also available. Using a combination of interviews and data analysis a detailed commentary is made of the effectiveness of the asylum process in the UK to separated children. A wide range of policy and practice recommendations are listed at the end of the report.
