Children in Detention [November 2003]

Children are detained in increasing numbers and often for reasons that are far from clear. This has become an issue of growing concern in the last twelve months. The Refugee Council is opposed to the detention of children under Immigration Act powers and will strive to bring its use to an end. This paper sets out the Refugee Council's position.
