Refugee Council’s response to the Home Office consultation: “Tackling Human Trafficking - Consultation on Proposals for a UK Action Plan” [April 2006]

In January 2006, the Goverment published 'Tackling Human Trafficking: Consultation on Proposals for a UK Action Plan'. In addition to welcome victim support and research proposals, the draft action plan also includes proposals for extending border controls, which the Refugee Council is concerned may prevent refugees reaching safety, and return trafficking victims at risk of being re-trafficked.
