Submission to the Independent Asylum Commission

The Refugee Council submission to the IAC highlights areas of concern to the Refugee Council and suggests areas for IAC recommendations. [November 2007]

The Independent Asylum Commission aims to “take a fresh and impartial look at the system and make credible recommendations for reform that will ensure that the UK continues its proud history of sanctuary while restoring public confidence in the system.” See www.independentasylumcommission.org.uk for more details. The IAC issued a call for evidence in January 2007, which closed at the end of November 2007.
