Refugee Council response to Care Matters: Transforming the Lives of Children and Young People in Care [January 2007]
The government published Care Matters with the stated aim of improving the outcomes for children in care. The Refugee Council’s response welcomes many of the proposals to increase the support these children receive and makes recommendations for how unaccompanied children seeking asylum could be protected and looked after according to their needs.
