UKBA race, disability and gender equality scheme
Response to consultation on UK Border Agency's race, disability and gender equality scheme, 2009 - 2010 [Mar 09]
UKBA invited comments on its revised Action Plan for equality and diversity for 2009-10. The Refugee Council response is attached. Although the plan itself is to be welcomed there are concerns about the treatment of women, especially those fleeing rape or sexual violence. We are also extremely concerned about the lack of child care for families during their substantive asylum interview.
