Information service

The Refugee Council Information Service is the only comprehensive resource of its kind. It is an essential reference tool for anyone working with or providing services for refugees and asylum seekers.

The Refugee Council Information Service contains over 240 pages of relevant policy information, best practice and illustrative case studies, as well as lists of useful services, resources and organisations.

The Refugee Council Information Service is online at www.rcis.org.uk

The resource covers a wide range of topics (see below) giving an in-depth analysis of what services refugees and asylum seekers are entitled to from the NHS, social services and local authorities and councils, as well as examples of good practice and useful links.

Update May 2011: Sadly, along with other charities, we had to make some tough financial decisions recently, which means that we are not able to regularly update the main body of the Information Service. Given the rapidly changing policy and procedures in the asylum field it is important that you use the content of the service with caution.
