Human rights organisations

As part of their broader human rights mission many human rights organisations campaign for the rights of asylum seekers and refugees. The Refugee Council works with many of them.

Amnesty International
Amnesty International is a worldwide movement of people who campaign for internationally recognised human rights. It produces information on many of the countries where asylum seekers come from.

Human Rights Watch
Human Rights Watch is the largest human rights organisation based in the US. It conducts fact finding missions in many countries producing asylum seekers.

Justice
Justice seeks to develop the law, influence public policy and promote human rights standards. It tries to promote fairer and more effective asylum law and practice in the UK and the EU.

Liberty
Liberty seeks to protect civil liberties and promote human rights for everyone. It campaigns to protect basic rights and freedoms through the courts, in parliament and in the wider community.

Save the Children
Save the Children UK fights for children in the UK and around the world who suffer from poverty, disease, injustice and violence, working with them to find lifelong answers to the problems they face.
