There are many different ways you can help refugees and asylum seekers - some involve more traditional methods and others more fun ideas that you could undertake individually, at work or at school.
In celebration by requesting donations instead of gifts
Giving in celebration is a positive way of celebrating a special occasion while supporting the Refugee Council. Rather than receiving presents at your event, you can ask guests to make a donation to the charity. People often give via their wedding day, birthday or house warming celebrations.
Donations can be made online, by calling our fundraising team on 020 7346 1205 or by sending us a cheque, made out to the Refugee Council to 240-250 Ferndale Road, London SW9 8BB. This money will help adults and children escape their past and give them a chance to celebrate the opportunity of a new safer life.
In memoriam
Remember someone close to you by making a donation in their memory. This is a valuable and positive way to celebrate the life of a loved one, whilst helping Refugee Council give people hope for the future.
