What is this service?
This service supports resettled refugees to find jobs.
We offer:
- A dedicated employment and training advisor.
- Help creating a plan to find work.
- Training opportunities.
- English conversation clubs.
- Specific English classes.
- Entrepreneurship training through The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network.
- Visits to employers.
- Talks from local businesses.
- STEP works with Business in the Community (BITC). BITC support people to enter meaningful employment. They deliver a series of activities such as Behind the Scenes with Businesses, Career Conversations & Mentoring, and Work Experience.
- Social events and networking opportunities.
Can I use this service?
STEP is available to:
- Resettled refugees.
- Those with experience of forced migration.
- Those under humanitarian protection.
- People seeking asylum (with the right to work).
- Those under the Ukrainian extension scheme.
- Are living in South Yorkshire, Leeds or York.
