The Refugee Council is one of the leading organisations in the UK working with refugees and people seeking asylum. We not only give help and support, but also work with clients to ensure their needs and concerns are voiced and addressed. Volunteers are a key part of many of the services that support our clients and work alongside paid staff across the organisation.
To volunteer alongside other therapists to develop a gender and culturally sensitive service and deliver individual therapeutic services to rehabilitate and meet the holistic needs of female clients and to support them throughout their journey towards psychological healing and practical empowerment.
We are looking for 2 volunteers:
1 on a Monday (full day (10-5pm) to see 4 clients, update database and attend Tuesday supervisions which take place fortnightly from 11am-1pm)
1 volunteer on a Wednesday (half day in the afternoons to see 3 clients, update database and attend Wednesday supervisions which take place fortnightly from 11am-1pm (clients from 2-5pm).
