The Refugee Council is the leading human rights charity in the UK providing a wide range of direct and indirect services for asylum seekers, refugees and the organisations that work with them. We work to ensure that refugees are given the protection they need, that they are treated with respect and understanding, and have the same rights, opportunities and responsibilities as other members of UK society.
Our Refugees into Jobs team sits within the Integration Section and strives to provide high quality employment support projects to clients with permission to work. Funding cuts have dramatically reduced the amount of work we are currently able to offer in this area. However, we are seeking to rebuild the services we can offer to clients over time. Volunteers are crucial in our ability to provide a high quality service that is able to meet the individual needs of new refugees.
