Job Description
Across England, hundreds of Refugee Community Organisations (RCOs) deliver support and advice to refugees. Despite RCOs’ success, almost all would benefit from more consistent support. This is where our Basis Project comes in. Created through the support of the Big Lottery Fund, and delivered in partnership with Refugee Action, the project will run until March 2012. The aim is to enhance RCOs’ financial sustainability, their organisational capacity and their ability to deliver services to clients.
The Training & Development Support Officer will support the Organisational Development Officers’ (ODOs’) delivery of advice and training to RCOs by means of sourcing support and materials required, and by supporting the ODOs in their delivery of training. S/he will lead on the Project’s second National conference, and peer to peer programme.
You will have experience of coordinating support, and of training and events. You will be a proactive problem-solver keen to contribute to the support and development of a team and take responsibility for the delivery of events and a training programme.
Salary £26,258 Fixed term to 31 March 2012
Funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund
