Applying for a course - applications and interviews

1. Be familiar with how the university and Initial Teacher Training application process works

The application process often takes several months, and applications are done online.  You should apply as early as you can - it opens each year in September to start the following year.

2. Write an effective personal statement

Part of the application process requires a personal statement - this section is extremely important, and where you demonstrate your experience, what you know, and why you want to be a teacher.  A bad personal statement means you are unlikely to be given an interview, so you should take time to write it well.
