Our Impact Report: how we support refugees to thrive

Every year we publish a report highlighting the impact of our work and how we improve the lives of refugees and people seeking asylum.

Doing this annually gives us the opportunity to share our achievements and challenges but also to showcase our long-term vision, strategy and organisational ambitions.

Thanks to supporters and funders, between April 2022 and March 2023 our services reached 15,851 people .

This included 6,941 separated refugee children who were able to receive the support they urgently needed, and are now safer as a result.

Our latest Impact Report

Learn about the key areas of our work and how we improve the lives of refugees and people seeking asylum.

Over the last year, we have seen rising distress, trauma and anxiety amongst those we work with, many of whom are stranded in basic hotel accommodation, as a direct consequence of the UK Government’s inhumane approach.

Our staff and volunteers are navigating this terrain with resilience and dedication. Our supporters and partners also help make us who we are and deserve huge credit for the work we’ve been able to achieve.

In our Impact Report, you can read about the progress we’ve made towards our three ambitions and how we’ve been campaigning to build a fair and humane asylum system, so that refugees arriving in the UK are treated with the dignity and compassion they deserve.

Our ambitions to 2025

We will successfully press Government and other agencies to take action that significantly improves refugee protection.

We will significantly improve access to quality support for refugees in crisis and those seeking to integrate into the UK.

We will successfully influence improved public attitudes to refugees in new and imaginative ways to reform the hostile environment that impacts their lives.

My message to politicians is don’t see one side – people who are coming here, you can’t imagine how difficult the things they’ve been through are. – Our client S., who visited Parliament to speak with MPs and Peers

Please take the time to read about our commitment to put the voices and insights of refugees at the heart of what we do.

We developed a whole organisation approach to refugee engagement and involvement in our work, and we have taken concrete steps towards this commitment by developing a strategy and establishing a leadership function for refugee involvement.
