Welcome to the UK
Thank you to everyone who has sent in a welcome poster for us to display in our Dover office, welcoming newly arrived children to the UK.
One Refugee Council supporter who took part in the campaign wrote about her son's school: "I spoke to his teacher about the appeal and suggested he may use it as a springboard for looking at refugee issues as part of current affairs or personal and social development. I also gave him some links to useful teaching tools including the BBC series of cartoons aimed at children. And they did 2 whole lessons about refugees, watched the videos and discussed how a child may feel arriving in this country without any of their family, what they could do to help if that child came to their school but also how this appeal would help. And then every child made a poster."
Please continue to send your pictures in, they really do make a difference.
