In response to today’s Court of Appeal ruling on Section 55 of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002, Margaret Lally, acting Chief Executive of the Refugee Council said:
“We are pleased that the Court of Appeal supports the High Court in finding that the implementation of Section 55 has been unreasonable.
“We very much hope that the Government accepts these rulings and implements them as soon as possible”.
