Monitoring and Evaluation Training session

By Beatriz Fernandez, Basis Project Organisational Development Officer for the south-east.

Monitoring and Evaluation Training session
Brighton, 06 of November 2009
10.30 to 3pm

This training was an open training, delivered in partnership with UNI (SE BME Network), and BMECP (Brighton Black and Minority Ethnic Community Partnership).

Siddo Deva from UNI and me were the facilitators. 5 community organisations attended (3 of them were from refugee background) and a total of 8 attendees. The organisations that attended are as follows:

1) The Women’s Group
2) Jasmine Club (BASIS RCO)
3) Sudanese Elderly Community
4) Sudanese Women and Children
5) Bahai Community
6) UNI Network Coordinator for Sussex
7) BMECP Community Development Worker
8) BMECP Mental health Community Worker

The feedback was positive. We had a knowledge grid on which participants wrote at the beginning and at the end how much they knew about monitoring and evaluation. There was a clear improvement at the end of the day.
