115 new MPs signed the Refugee Pledge

In the run up to the general election, we teamed up with Refugee Action and Scottish Refugee Council to call on parliamentary candidates to demonstrate their commitment to ensuring Britain remains a welcoming place of safety.

We wish to extent a heartfelt thanks to all of you who contacted the candidates in your area, urging them to sign the pledge.

This collective action led to 872 candidates signing the Refugees Welcome Pledge. 115 of them have been elected as MPs.

Over the coming weeks, months and years ahead, we’ll be working tirelessly to do all we can to make sure that our government does all it can to welcome refugees and enable them to rebuild their lives here.
